Hi all!

I just packed the TSM cliente v7.1.0 for ubuntu 64bits and made an install script for it (thanks for "The Open Systems Group" from the University of Florida - https://open-systems.ufl.edu/ubuntu_client). I’d like to make it available to others, so it could be tested on diferente environments. By now, it’s available through sendspace (http://www.sendspace.com/file/2um726), but I want to share it in a better repository, so I’m taking suggestions and offers to host my solution.

At this moment, there are only the BA and the API packed (and the gsk* needed to install them), but I can convert the other packages, update my install script and make them available in the future. The process to convert the RPMs in DEBs is very simple and I think my script is very clear to understand and update, so feel free to do it yourselves if you wish! If someone is not sure about how to build the other packages and/or update the script, tell me and, if I have the time, I will do it for you. If I don’t have, I’ll let you know…

I actually don’t have the need to backup any files on Ubuntu machines. I did this because I needed to use the administrative command line under my Ubuntu Linux desktop to manage my TSM server. It worked very well to me, so I thought I should share my solution with the community.

Ultimately, all I wish is to be helpfull and make the use of the TSM client on Ubuntu (and derivatives) easier for everyone who needs it!

Hope it helped and thanks for your time!
