TSM Client Configuration

Hi,

There is a requirement from client to configure daily , weekly and monthly backup in TSM 7.1 wherein the monthly backup tapes would be taken offsite. Can anyone guide me on the configuration part please at the server and client end both.

If you're new to TSM, be aware that this is not the intended behavior of TSM backups. TSM rides on the incremental forever method and essentially eliminates the need for weekly or monthly backups.

Following strict TSM rules, you will have to send DR (copies) offsite daily to protect your data.

If you really need to send data offsite on weekly and/or monthly basis, consider archiving and not backup.
