Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had any expierence in mounting and backing up an NFS export via Domain -automount option in the client optionset.

I have recieved an error advising the location does not exist or is not not a virtual mount point.

I then speccified the location with the virtualmounpoint option in dsm.sys and removed the "Domain -automount option" and have recieved the following error

ANS1279W Virtual mount point '/autofsi/sysdump/' cannot be used in a file system handled by automounter and is ignored.

Backup performance is better when you install the Backup-Archive Client where the file system physically resides, but sometimes it is necessary to access file systems using NFS for purposes of backup and recovery. The Tivoli Storage Manager UNIX and Linux backup-archive client can back up, archive, restore and retrieve file data using an NFS mount. This includes all versions of the NFS protocol, including NFS version 2, NFS version 3, and NFS version 4.
