Hi Guys,
I have the folowwing scenario:

Restore of Vol/lun = Bad performance (1MB/sec)
Restore of Vol/qtree/lun = Good performance (100MB/sec).

The restore is made from tape (TSM IBM) to Filer NetApp using NDMP as NAS, Ethernet.

Some suggestions?.
Thanks.

Is /vol/lun and /vol/qtree/lun on the NetApp and on same aggregate?

For what it is worth, recommendation is /vol/qtree/lun

Yes, but if they different agreggates. I do not understand why it is so slow without qtree.

In TSM:
Filespace /vol/lun= Bad performance
Filespace /vol/qtree/lun = Good performance

In NetApp:
/vol/lun= Bad performance
/vol/qtree/lun = Good performance

The mapping with qtree adds a buffer layer for NetApp to run faster

Is there any solution?. It could force the restoration on the TSM to write a qtree or something?, Maybe change the filespace inserting the qtree?.

Thanks!!.

Sorry, I believe it is not possible with NDMP restores.

You can try defining an alternate destination but you wll have to create a new location which means requiring a new space.
