    This is a contract to hire position located in Dallas, TX. Must be a US Citizen and speak great English.



    Job Requirements:
    • Job Requirements:
      • The candidate must have expert technical knowledge of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Software (TSM) products.
      • Must have good technical skills in Linux and AIX administration. Sound knowledge of UNIX system administration in general.
      • The candidate should also be able to monitor, troubleshoot, support and fix operating system and hardware problems in complex multi-tiered environments.
      • It is especially important that the candidate possess the skills to work with, and if required lead, other associates to determine whether the root cause of the problem is at the system, network, database, middleware, or application layer.
      • Advanced knowledge in networking, database, middleware and / or programming is a plus.
      • Documentation of problem records and system information is an integral part of the job.
      • The candidate must be an excellent team member, should be unafraid to assume ownership and be willing to exchange knowledge with the rest of the team.
      • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and without supervision and capable of directing/mentoring other associates.
      • Must be able to be part of the off hour support (On-call) rotation schedule.
      Required Skills:
      • Red Hat Linux and IBM AIX experience with some knowledge of Windows and MAC.
      • Install, configure, support and maintain UNIX systems and application software on multiple platforms
      • Demonstrated expertise in TCP/IP required.
      • Experience with backup and recovery strategy a plus.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
      • Strong problem solving ability.
      • Very strong customer service skills.
      MUST be able to pass a government hi-risk security check. Required to support some of our customer base.
