I don't know if I remember this correctly. I recall seeing either a knowledge base or a tip/recommendation that says to set TSM DB volumes sizes between 50 to 100 GB, with 50 GB as preferred. The reason is tuning for optimum performance; the smaller geometry leads to faster disk access and reduced latency.
Did I recall right, or a generic recommendation (not of TSM) which is really a function of the disk sub-system that serves the DB2 of the TSM server?
