tsm 5.4 licence

How to licence tsm 5.4 server with ISC

Hi,

first you have to install the license package.
Then you have to register the license file with the command "register license file".
"tsmbasic.lic" for basic edition, "tsmee.lic" for extended edition.

Command line is easier than ISC in this case - only two things to do.

if you download it from ftp site it's not contains licenses, use password advantage site for the licensed packages...

I'm having trouble registering License for my 5.4 (Solaris) server too. The higher ups claim that the License package add is current but when I look in my server/bin directory and read the TSMee.lic file it says server version 5.2

I'm getting the ANR2032E Reg Lic Command Failed message

Also - I don't see a nodelock file in this directory

Any ideas? Thanks

Try to install 5.41 level. Get it from ftp://index.storsys.ibm.com/tivoli-storage-management/maintenance/server/v5r4/Solaris/5.4.1.0 It runs well.

I figured it out. TIVsmSlic package being used was v 5.3

I dropped the server, removed that package, and added the pkg for 5.4
brought up the server and reg lic All good now.
