TSM and Librarysharing

Hi all,

we have a serious problem, using Librarysharing with TSM

We have 5 Instances on a RS/6000 S80 AIX System. We share a IBM3494 Tapelibrary

with 8 3590E1 Drives.

One Instance is defined as the Librarymanager to the 3494, the left 4 Instances have a Library Slave definition to the 3494.

With the Version, we have no Problems.

Now, sometimes its seems, that the Slave losts the mountrequest on the Library Manager. The Slave Request "WAITING FOR MOUNTPOINT" will not be answerd by the Librarymanager. On the Library Manager, no Drive is in Use, but the request on the Slave is not answered. It is not possible to kill the session. Same Behavior was found by mountrequests of Migration Progresses. The only possibility is to restart the Instance.

Have anybody made this expierience too ?

Best regards

Elmar Gawronski
