We now have a little over 3,300 VMs and have been running the BAclient-based versions of TSM (and now Spectrum Protect) for years. Looking at switching to the VE version of SP and am looking for feedback from those running SPP. Am interested in at least the following:
How well does it perform (elapsed time for backups, success/failure rates, etc.?
Do you prefer it over the BAclient installation?
Do you use it for your SQL servers? If not how do you backup your SQL servers with SPP?
Are there any VM configurations that create issues for SPP and snapshot backups?
Any other comments about SPP are welcome.
