Does anyone has any idea what may have prompted following error in Windows 2000 Event Log:



The TSM Client Scheduler service terminated with service-specific error 12.

The TSM Client Scheduler service terminated with service-specific error 8.

Check your dsmsched.log and compare the time frames w/your application event log.



error 8 is usually some error like a 'file in use' error, etc but does not mean a failed backup.

error 12 indicates the scheduled backup failed.. usually in relation to an ANSxxxxE message. You will find more information for the failed backup in the dsmsched.log.
