I've been trying to do a file level restore using self-service restore option from TDP for Vmware via https://tsm-server:9081/FileRestoreUI/ (http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS8TDQ_7.1.4/ve.inst/r_ve_inst_fr_gui.html)
TDP for Vmware is installed on same server as TSM (both at v7.1.4), server is win2008r2.
After entering all inputs in GUI, I see this error in dsmerror.log:
ANS0361I DIAG: scSignOnAsAdmin: Error 52 receiving SignOnAsAdminResp verb from server
The thing is we don't have active directory, and I couldn't find any info is this type of restore possible without servers joining the AD domain? The same error is shown when I try restore of win or linux virtual machines.
Restoring the files by mounting the vm on the datamover using SCSI works just fine, except the performance of restore is about 10MB/s (i am using container stgpools on disk).
