Hello,
We are contemplating using TSM-TDP-Client for Exchange and TSM TDP for DataBases to back up our exchange and SQL, Oracle servers and we're trying to do a cost analysis. From everything that I can find out to this point we would need only one TDP license to back up one exchange server. More specifically TDP should be licensed by occurrence of application or better stated “per instance of exchange”. TDP should not be licensed per CPU of the machine that it's running on. So as an example, if we had a machine using two CPUs that we wanted to run Microsoft Exchange on and back it up with the help of TDP, We would need a total of three licenses... one TDP license and two TSM base/client license? Does anyone that's using TDP know if this is correct?
Thanks
