TDP for exchange help

I am having some issues with tdp for exchange.

Executing Operating System command or script:
d:\tsm\excincr.cmd
04/28/2008 03:56:55 ACN5705W An error was encountered with Tivoli Storage Manager API initialization, rc = 612.
Examine the dsierror.log for more information or determine if the TSM API is installed properly.

04/28/2008 03:56:55 ANS1512E Scheduled event 'FM-EXCON02' failed. Return code = 418.

I have looked in the dsierror.log and there is nothing in it.

This just started happening last Friday and i have no explination it. We are running TSM client 5.4.1.6 and just found out we have no support for TDP Mail from IBM. The only thing we have done is upgraded the symantec client from v10 to v11. I haven't played around with TDP for exchange so i don't know much about it. Any help would be appreciated.

can you run the backup through the TDP Exchange Gui? ie manually?
what about if you run the cmd file by double clicking on it?
check any DSIerror.log, i have ran into installs where the errors get piped out to some obscure dsierror log.

try also reinstalling the BA Client software.

RC=612 clears that API is been corrupted. Please try to reinstall the TSM API and check for the same.

STEPS:
1. Open the TDP GUI, If its not opening then the API is corrupted.
2. Reinstall Ba-Client so that API installed properly.


After reinstallation if error persists ping me. I will give other options to try

reinstalling the ba-client worked, thanks for the help.
