Tape drives might be a issue

Hi all,

Can we manually clean the drive from the Tapelibrary TS3500 ? What would be the possible causes?

You should be able to manually clean the drives from the web interface and on the front panel console.

Oh, make sure you have cleaning tapes assigned with cleans remaining. Also, you can enable the auto cleaning feature of the drives. I highly recommend that as well.

I have ALMS enabled so cleaning mode is automatic by default. Not sure if it can be enabled without ALMS? Would have to refer to the manual for your unit/firmware.
