Thanks for the reply .
This link suggests adding 'adregister yes' to the dsm.opt file of the client . This client has an OS backup node configured which is running fine , it is the DB2 backup that is having issues .
Error from DB2 end :
MESSAGE : SQL2071N An error occurred while accessing the shared library "/db2/db2bod/sqllib/adsm/libtsm.a".
Reason code: "2".
Can this file be regenerated with a fresh client installation ?

No, Server. That's specific to ANR9961W, not the DB2 errors.

It's in a DB2 path, so it would come from a DB2 install. This was the first Google hit regarding SQL2071N + libtsm.a: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21598050

Hi . Could you please help me further . I am still getting both the errors .
For ANR9961W how and where do I add the 'adregister yes' command ?
dsmserv.opt ? can i just edit and add this line to it ?

And for the libtsm.a error , I have re-installed the tsm clients and copied the same file from a working server .

Hi
I could solve the ANR9961W issue with the above said entry to the dsmserv.opt . (Thank You)
However , SQL2071N still exists and I am getting the same error . I have removed and installed the client and reconfigured . Re-created the node as well .
DB2 team have done their end of re-configuration .
Could you please help me resolve this . I am unable to find a solution to this .
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21598050 I have checked this link and there in only 1 path where this library file exists .
Permissions to the dsm.sys and the error log , password file path has been modified as per a working client with a similar db2 setup .

That would not change anything since SQL2071N is a DB2 error and "/db2/db2bod/sqllib/adsm/libtsm.a" is a file that ships with DB2 and used to backup to Spectrum Protect. I'm not of any help at this point, further investigation will need to be done from the DB2 side and I know very little about that.
