Hi all.
Have a question regarding imagebased backup of vcenter appliance 6.7
In earlier versions up to 10.1.7 there was documented how to use pre-frezee and post-thaw script.
In 10.1.8 i can't find any information in official documentation.

Is there another way SPP 10.1.8 backup vcenter or do we need to implement the way it works in earlier versions?
Just a bit confused

The solution is that in 10.1.8 you should use vcenter default pre-freeze post-thaw script.

Please be advised that this was removed since 10.1.7 and we have an APAR in regards: "IT32485: BACKING UP A LINUX-BASED VCENTER SERVER APPLIANCE DOCUMENTATION REQUIRES UPDATE"

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IT32485?mhsrc=ibmsearch_a&mhq=IT32485

"The pre-freeze-script and post-thaw-script provided by VMware

that are available by default in /usr/sbin on the vCenter Server

Appliance need to be used."

So when doing a snapshot backup vmware tools handling the script automaticly.
