Hi,

Just link to AIX Server is posted here, you find the rest youserlf :)

ftp://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/maintenance/server/v8r1/AIX/8.1.8.000/

And, test before upgrade

Even if I had another SP server, it would only be a test one, without production data, nodes, schedules etc. So that "test" would not make much sense. I thought vendors were supposed to test stuff before public release, but seems these days this is no longer mandatory... Not just Big Blue, others as well.

In a perfect world, everyone would have a non-prod environment for any mission critical application. However, budgets are cut. Staffing is cut, you are asked to do more with old hardware.
If money was no object, I'd have a dedicated instance for PROD and NON-PROD.

In the end, no matter what, it is up to the client/customer to determine if an update/upgrade is worth it and you should run it though your change control policies.

I will say, the teir to tape from a container pool in 8.1.8 had me excited, but then I see how its being treated and...I'm eh? Just not how I was expecting it to function. I still see value in it, just not sure if I'll end up using it.
