Hi, I'm having a serious trouble with space in tapes. I have some old backups of Notes databases (.nsf) and I wish to know if it's possible to delete from tapes, only a certain extension. A selective exclusion, where I want to delete all the "nsf" files from my tapes.

    Is that possible?

    Thank you.

Delete those nodes/filespaces from TSM server and reclamation will free up the space.

Be alert before deleting, that file spaces do not contain any other data that you need!

Hi guys, thank you for your answers.
So, one last doubt. Once I delete the filespaces, Do I need to perform anything else? Or the tapes wil be "automatically" recognized with "free space"???

Can't do it. Explain, as gently as possible, that tape storage is
sequential, not random, and thus you can't just "delete" any one file.
    it's all or nothing.

Now if he wants to buy you a new machine that you can do a complete
restore to, then delete the file, then do a new backup . . . . .
