HI Trident
Have added that but still not asked for a password when i do a manual backup through the BACLIENT and when i restore i am no asked for a password. The way i understood that you set this up is to set the "encrypt key save" then manually backup a file this will then prompt you to add password first time. Then from then on any file thats backup up will be encrypted.

Hi Trident
this is a new node/file system.
But i did as you suggested and run the trace but nothing i backup sets a encryption flag on.
Is there anything else i can try?
thanks

Hi,

I now assume you have altered your dsm,.sys to have include.encrypt /.../*

Are there any other optionsets in work from the server?

On th server type q node devassets2 f=d . Find the client option set it belongs to. Type

q cloptset <name from above>'

Please paste this output.
