setup vcb proxy as a virtual server?

has anyone setup a VM as a VCB proxy successfully?
the Vmware VCB ver 1.5 ( SCSI Hot-Add Mode page 26 ) documentation states that it would be possible but I have not been able to do sol....Anybody has?

Did you ever figure this out?

I don't want to go to tape I want to go to my disk pool and let TSM handle what goes to tape.
