Hello, Can the time that a process waits to mount a tape for a restore be extended ? Is that an OPT setting ? We are currently set for 60 minutes but would like it to wait longer. Thank you

Hello, I wanted to see if I could get confirmation on something...I wanted to increase the time that a process waits for a tape mount while running a restore. Our current settings have the process waiting for 60 minutes before failing and making the tape volume "unavailable". Is that the Mount Wait setting in the tape devclass ?

I tried to change it from 60 minutes to 4320 minutes and the update comes back as "updated" but the setting is still at 60 mins. Is there somewhere else where I change this setting ? Thank you

Mount Wait (min): 60

tsm: TSMLM>update devclass LTO5 mountwait=4320
ANR2205I Device class LTO5 updated.

Show me the timeout message you get in the activity log after 60 minutes and I will tell you which timeout value to adjust.

The devclass mountwait was the right thing to update for that particular time-out. Not sure why it didn't work.

Thank you for the reply. I may have figured it out. I was updating the LTO5 devclass, since the process uses LTO5 tapes but these are NAS restores, so I updated the NAS devclass and it took the change this time. Hopefully, that works for out NAs restores. Thank you
