So today I am attempting to upgrade an inherited 7.1.05200 windows server to 8.1.4.

All was going well during the upgrade process until this..

Looks like someone has removed a repository location and files that the Installation Manager requires as part of upgrading the license module.

If I abort, it rolls back any changes made and i'm back to 7.1.05200.

Anyone know if I can circumvent or bypass this? or even what my options are to get this server upgraded ASAP.

Thanks

Hi,
You need to download files from passport advantage

Thanks Trident, all sorted without the need for passport advantage software download..

All I did was exclude the Licence module from the Upgrade process, which resulted in all other modules upgrading successfully, then you go into the Spectrum Protect Server 8.1.4 'repository' directory > browse to the 'native' directory > find the 'com.tivoli.dsm.license...' zip file > extract it and run the setup.exe manually

Job done.

All up and running :)
