HI,

I would like to ask some help!

Our TSM server service doesnt run. When i open the admin console and want to login, i got error message:

ANS1017E session rejected: TCP/IPconnection failure
ANS8023E Unable to establish session with server.

ANS8002I highest return code was -50

TSM server1 service doesn't run. If i started it manually, it will stop after 3-4 second.

I checked the eventlog and found some notice about license:

ADM12008C The product "DB2 Connect Server" does not have a valid license key
installed and the evaluation period has expired. Functions specific to this
product are not enabled. If you have licensed this product, please ensure the
license key is properly installed. You can install the license via using
License Center or db2licm command line utility. The license file can be
obtained from your licensed product CD.

I dont know how could it affect to our server, because i already found it before and didnt cause any problem.
I could work with TSM.

I found some DB2 service too (DB2-DB2TSM1- Server1 (Automatis start) , what are being in stopped state (DB2-DB2TSM1- Server1 - It will stop after 3-4 second). I have started these services and after the TSM server1 service too, but not helped.

We didnt modify the ips or DNS names.

Thank you for your help!

Not sure what version of TSM Server that you ae running and what os is hosting the application.

May find the following techdoc of some interest.

db2start receives error ADM12008C. The product "DB2 Advanced Enterprise Server Edition" does not have a valid license installed and the evaluation period has expired

Good Luck,
Sias

HI,

Thanks for your answare.
I think we have license what is being expired (its not 90 day evaluation), but the the server was working and i could work for a long time. I think in this case we cannot upgrade or update the server, but it not affect to TSM server working.

GUI accessible....but cannot connect to server

TSM 6.3
OS: Win 2008R2 ent, SP1

The following tech doc is regarding

ADM12008C .. "DB2 Connect Server"

rather than

ADM12008C ..."DB2 Advanced Enterprise Server Edition"

Unable to connect to a database because DB2 Connect license has expired

If you don't think its a license issue.

Like Marclant say start the TSM Server in the foreground, watch the messages and it should give you a hint as to why the TSM Server will not start.

TSM "dsmserv.err" error file. This file does not always exist. If it does, it will be in the instance directory.

DB2's "db2support" utility can be used to collect the DB2 error logs.

Good Luck,
Sias

OK! I going to do it! Thank you!

The log partiton was full and the TSM cannot make new log file and cannot prune the old archive logs.
I had to make free space and the db can start and the server too.
The license is being expired, but everything looks good.
I think the db backup didnt run for a week and the logs could not been pruned.

Thank you all! Your advices helped me a lot!
