AIX and power5 doesn't support SAS does it? I don't see any documentation saying one way or the other so I am assuming no support.

Interested in some SAS LTO4 Drives.

Haven't heard about SAS LTO4. Even Fiber-based LTO4 are relatively new. I guess there isn't any support for SAS LTO4.

AIX does support SAS, but I don't know about SAS LTO4

I got confirmation from my business partner that AIX does not currently support SAS.


edit: using a pseries box. iseries running aix does support sas.

I'll bet 99% that it'd work under pseries AIX (mostly because the difference between an iseries Power5 and a pseries Power5 is just firmware and $$$)

I actually downloaded the fixes under the AIX support site and it didn't prompt for hardware type.
