SAP Sybase Databse backup using TSM.

When i am executing following backup command getting following error's

1> dump database DEV to "syb_tsm:bj1.1"
2> go
Backup Server session id is: 49. Use this value when executing the
'sp_volchanged' system stored procedure after fulfilling any volume change
request from the Backup Server.
Backup Server: 4.132.1.1: Attempting to open byte stream device:
'syb_tsm:bj1.1::000'
Backup Server: 4.124.2.1: Archive API error for device='syb_tsm:bj1.1::000':
Vendor application name=Sybase-TSM API, Library version=2, API
routine=syb_open(), Message=Tivoli Storage Manager environment variable
'DSMI_DIR' is not set.
Msg 8009, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'DEV', Line 1:
Error encountered by Backup Server. Please refer to Backup Server messages for
details.

but DSMI_DIR environment variable is already set there

You resuscitated a 5 year old post. The versions used 5 years ago are ancient, things have changed, the original poster has not been on the forum since 2016.

You should start a new post with your specific symptoms observed and versions you are using.
