If you retrieve archived directories with files, TSM first creates all directories, then it retrieves the files. Before the first file appears, it can take several hours, depending on the numbers of directories, which has to be fetched from tape. Is it possible, to copy all directory entries to a diskpool in retrospect from all archived directories to accelerate retrieving? How can I save directory entries in future archive jobs automatically? (-dirsonly?). I created a storage pool DP_DIR on the deviceclass DISK. The storagepool for the archived files/directories is named TP4_ARCHIVE. Can you tell me, which commands I have to execute?
