Hi,

We are using TDP 5.5 for our MSSQL 2005 DB backups.
We restored MSSQL Master database successfully starting it in single user mode. When doing the model and msdb restore, the tape hangs and we were forced to stop the restore process. Now we are unable to start our MSSQL and the error is

2008-07-17 13:42:56.54 spid8s Starting up database 'model'.
2008-07-17 13:42:56.57 spid8s The database 'model' is marked RESTORING and is in a state that does not allow recovery to be run.
2008-07-17 13:42:56.57 spid8s Error: 927, Severity: 14, State: 2.
2008-07-17 13:42:56.57 spid8s Database 'model' cannot be opened. It is in the middle of a restore.
2008-07-17 13:42:56.57 spid8s Could not create tempdb. You may not have enough disk space available. Free additional disk space by deleting other files on the tempdb drive and then restart SQL Server. Check for additional errors in the event log that may indicate why the tempdb files could not be initialized.
2008-07-17 13:42:56.57 spid8s SQL Trace was stopped due to server shutdown. Trace ID = '1'. This is an informational message only; no user action is required.

There is enough disk free space (50 GB). Any one please help.

it's not about the disk space of your windows, it's about the available space in temp db, it's an sql server issue not windows or tsm ;)
