Restore of PST file from backup

Hi.

Sorry for my terrible English.

Today when we restore a mailbox (pst) the restore takes a log time 4-5 hours.
First we restores the mailbox database and then the log files to local disk
and then the pst file

Is the v7.1 Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange Server any different?

Dos it restore pst files dirctly from the tsm server?
Is it faster, or dos it restore the database and log files to disk before restore the pst file.
