Restore incredible slow

Hello adsm community!

we got a problem with the restore functionality in tdp for mssql.
we figured this problem out on 2003 and as well 2008 r2.
while we restoring our backup via tdp, the backup runs with e.g. 15 mbit/s (which is slow, we got 10 GBs on every server side), after quite 1,8GB transfered data, the restore breaks together to 3 MBit/s and the restore takes ages. it looks like any buffer is running full and the output breaks in.

we use tdp version 6.4.1.0 and os version 2008r2.
TSM Server is newest version

does anyone got any idea, resolution?

How fast is it when you are backing up? Are the backups held on disk or tape?

How fast is the disk on the SQL server? How many disks and configuration for logs and database? What network speed/connectivity do you have?

I have experienced MAJOR SQL slowdowns as well.

From testing, it appears only on my MS Clusters. Are you restoring to an MS Cluster?

Also I will see if I can locate the tracing parameters and post here.
