response file in silent installation of oracle on AIX

Hi

while installing Oracle 10g Release 2, using response file in silent mode on AIX 5.3.
./runInstaller -silent -responseFile /ora/10.2.0/.../servercustom.rsp
I get message :

Severe: values for the following variables could not be obtained from the
command line or response file(s):
DEP_MODE(InstallType)
TLDepModes(TopLevelInstallType)
Silent install cannot contine.

In the responsefile,servercustom.rsp, i am not seeing those variables. The variable, INSTALL_TYPE is defined as "custom" in the file. please help me to resolve.
