HI,

i have TSM 5.5 SRV running on windows 2003 SRV. i noticed some strange issue on my tsm. when i look into the recovery log files i found it mixed with .dsm files and .log files!!!! and also found that recovery log files exceeded 13 GB and thankfully the server still running . the log mode is set to NORMAL
what i want to do is to remove the .LOG files and reduce the size to below 13 GB.i will post the info for you to check it and help me.

Hi,

seems your log is not used at all (almost). Maximum utilization 0.1% means like 13MB of space used ....
So you can reduce it very drastically and then delete the log volumes you do not want (and keep just log1.dsm)

what you need to do:
reduce log 11216 <--- you are keeping 2048MB
del logvol ......

After doing this you MUST do the FULL DB backup.
