Reclamation & move data

Hello TSM Gurus,

Need some info on reclamation & move data.

What are the situation where move data is really useful?? Give scenario's , If possible.

Why TSM shows some volumes as full, Even though it isn't? When TSM shows volumes like that do we need to move data to another volume which is filling and then make it as a sratch or TSM would make them empty once reclamation completes for the storage pool?? or what??. Please help me going mad .

When TSM shows volume full, no need of moving data manually, space reclamation would free it up (and reuse as scratch later depending on the reuse delay parameter in storage pool).


Move data:

Move data comes handy when any volumes goes wrong because of read or write errors.
