I am going to restore our production TSM DB on a new server (AIX 6.1) for DR testing. So do I need exactly the same filesystem layout and sizing? Or can I make the filesystems a little smaller? My concern is the archive and active log filesystems - they are huge in PROD but I don't want to dedicate that much space to DR testing. The DB filesystems are identical, but do the log filesystems have to be too? Will TSM know they are "wrong" when it is restored?

Thanks in advance

Well, DR test is ideal opportunity to test it!

But to you question, active and archive logs are depending on amount of activity and as there will be near to no activity the logs should be small. But to be honest I never checked it on our testing machines I just assigned the filesystems of the same size :)
