q event

Hi, I have TSM Server 5.1 on an Win2K Server. I have many client schedules running during the day. I can see the status of jobs with "q event ..." command. But, I don't know what happens, suddenly I begin to see nothing when I give the command q event. Either no record is found or just only one is fetched. Anyone with an experience like this ?

Depends on the version. There was a problem with 5.1 not writing to the summary table which can affect the event query. The events table only keeps data for a specific period of time (I think 24hrs.) The ability to set event retention only tells TSM how long to keep data in the summary table. So if you have the version with the summary table bug you wont see the information you need.
