Procedure To Install TSM,Client And Domino TDP For Windows

Dear friends,



I'm newbie in TSM and i want to install TSM to backup/restore my Lotus domino Database.

I download these files : client for Domino,TSM 5.2.2,TDP for lotus mail.

My first question is : Need i just these three files?

My second question : i install tdp and client in my lotus domino server and install the server in a mchine to manage TSM ?

is it true?

My third question is : I want a procedure to install these Three products ?



Please help me it's urgent.



Ps : I have windows Plateform

Lotus Domino 6.5.1

Hi there, to me, it sounds like you do not have TSM Server setup. You wil need a server in place before you can backup clients.

There will be no magic bullet for you to setup the server. And to get the best out of the whole TSM environment, you need to understand the inner workings of how TSM works. For this, I suggest you get yourself some formal training, or start reading all the manuls on TSM you can find.

Its not what you want to hear, but it will ultimately save you a lot of time and heart ache.

we have a TSM 5.3 running quite well.



I'd like to backup our Domino Server (Windows 2000) , too.



My questions:



- Do I have to install BA-Client, too (first)?

- When installing TDP do I have to shut down Domino Server?
