Primary Tape and Offsite Storage

Is it OK to use a Primary tape pool for offsite storage( Disaster Recovery ) ???

One of my diskpool pools fills up, so I have to migrate all data to Primary tape pool instead of a copy pool because of space limitation in my diskpool.

Only 1 Tape drive.


I'm use to having a copy pool for offsite storage.

Yes that 1 TAPE drive really sucks!!! Management is aware of the situation.

This is more for taking LOGS offsite each month for a year. Only 12 tapes will be used.

I figured I could take the tapes OFFSITE. I'm use to copypools.
If the tape is unreadable, OOOOPS. Not much I can do.
