PerUnits=Hours Backing up 23x7 not 24x7

I schedule a log backup to run hourly (perunits=hours). But only get 23 backups each day. (first run at 01:00 and last run at 23:00). Is there a trick to getting it to do 24 backups per day? (other than adding another "daily" schedule to do a backup once a day, at midnight?)
