I've identified an orphaned file on our HSM managed filesystem. The stub exists, but the TSM server has no record of the file when I query the SPACEMGFILES table. Nor is there a backup copy.
We've configured HSM to only replace a file with a stub if a backup copy already exists, so it should be impossible for there only to be a stub no backup copy. I'm trying to do some root cause analysis on this issue and want to see if anyone here had A) experienced files going missing from from HSM, yet the stub file remaining and/or B) knew of any tools/files I can use to figure out when the file actually went missing.
Thanks,
Brian Kunst
