Oracle TDP License Information: License File Error - see tdpoerror.log for details on linux x86

Hi TSM gurus.



I correctly setup a lap at home! I did install tsm server 5.2, tsm client and TDP 5.3 for oracle on linux x86.

I am having errors with the agent.lic file. If this file isnt available, can't ai test backup/restore using tdp?

Tried copying the agent.lic (from work since we have licence for that), but its on sparc solaris, not linux!

Can any one explain what can be done?

I'am just doing some practices at home, so does ai need to buy a licence for that?

I believe the licenses are not cross platform compatible. You need to obtain a license for Linux from Tivoli and yes you have to have the license to even try a test backup.
