    Hi,
    My current setup having 3 file servers on each the data size is growing with more that 3TB and we are taking Flat File backup on LAN. My entire setup is running on Fiber Channel hence we decided to make it LAN Free. I downloaded the TSM Storage Agent version 7.1 from IBM PPA site and for testing purpose installed on one of the Windows 2K12 server with TSM drivers.

    Now my challenge is how do i define path in TSM server as in "device" parameter i need to put some disk path like we do in AIX. But i could not find the same in Windows. Example in AIX i can define disk path as

    def path STANAME drivename srct=server destt=drive libr=LibraryName device=/dev/rmt1

    My TSM server is 6.4.3 and TSM BA client installed in client is 6.4.2. Can someone guide how do i define path so that i can take File server backup with Lan Free.

    There is no 6.4.x TSM Server, but the moral of the story is the Server needs to be same or higher than the storage agent, so your 7.1 Storage Agent won't work with a 6.x server

    Once you addressed the compatibility issues between the server and storage agent either by downgrading the storage agent or upgrading the server, you need to find the device names:

    Then define the paths:
