Hello, I am new to implementing NDMP backups to TSM Tape.
Basic question...Can you use an exisiting Tape Library thats already defined
or do you need to create an additonal NDMP Library?
3 LTO5 drives are zoned to Netapp device.
Existing library is fine, set it to shared. Do other NAS setup stuff (node, datamover, pools, policy etc) then just define your paths of existing drives to your datamover.

No, NDMP uses the drives, while TSM server controls the library. If you have dedicated library or logical library in a partitioned setup, you would still need TSM server to have a path to the library to control it. The advantage would be only that all NDMP backup tapes are in sepperate library. I haven`t seen it done like that.
