Hello, We have been getting a growing number of NDMP backup failures over the last few months. It started as a few failures one day a month but now it is starting to be 15-20 failures on a daily basis. We have an open PMR but so far every setting that they ask us to change has already been set correctly. Also, our Network Team isn't seeing any connection issues. Below is an example if the error we see on TSM. Our NDMP session setting is 25 and our NDMPPrefDataInterface is using the correct IP address. Some of the failing volumes are new but some are very old backups that haven't had issues until now. Any suggestions where to look would be appreciated. Thank you

Network updates lately? Driver updates? Patches?

Have tried rebooting the TSM Server (the physical box)?

Hello moon-buddy, Thanks for the reply. As far as I know, the answer is NO to your first 3 questions. I can give the reboot a try when I get a break in my daily processing. Thank again for the suggestions.

Hello moon-buddy, I was able to reboot the AIX and TSM server on Friday and so far we have not had anymore NDMP backup failures. Thanks for the advice.
