Moving Filespaces Between Nodes w/o Re-Ingesting Data?

Good morning all,

Please consider the following… We have a TSM Server 7.1.1 running on AIX 6.1.0.0. We’re using this server to backup multiple proxy nodes using TSM Client 7.1.0. These proxy nodes serve as a front-end for about 1.5PB of NFS data. None of the filespace names nor mount points are duplicated across the proxy nodes; all are unique.

What I’d like to do is move all the unique filespaces from the individual proxy nodes to a single proxy node, without having to re-ingest the source data nor lose all my historical data. The retention policies are all set to NOL.

Is there a way to move filespaces from NODEA to NODEB within the same server? Or anything of the like? Or, can I export all data from NODEA to NODEB within the same server? Or, any other way to merge the filespaces?

I’ve searched around and found others asking this question back in the TSM5 and 6 days but nothing too recent and hoping something has changed.

Thanks in advance,

-brian
