Hello,

I would like to ask some help with maintenance scripts!

I would like to modify the maintenance scripts, but i have no idea where i can find it.
If i list the admin scripts i can only see, the DB backup (full and inc + expire), but i cannot see the reclamation, migration....etc for stgpools.
I can find it on OC, but i cannot modify here...i did not find any opportunity to open it in editor or something....
I found this:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/es/SSGSG7_7.1.0/com.ibm.itsm.srv.doc/t_maint_modify.html
I cannot find ACTION...
I think my user is admin user, so i would see all of the menu.

Spectrum Protect: 7.1.3
OC: 7.1.3

Do you have any idea?
Thank you!

To see the list of scripts, use QUERY SCRIPT
To see the content of a script, use: QUERY SCRIPT {scriptname} F=D
For syntax on updating a script: HELP UPDATE SCRIPT

Perhaps the reclamation and migration are started by an administrative schedule without using a script.
Try QUERY SCHED T=A F=D

Hello,

Thanks for your answer!

query sched t=a -->
DBBACKUP 2017.08.03 08:00:00 5 H (*)
DBBACKUP_INCR 2017.08.03 09:00:00 119 M 2 H Any
EXPINV 2017.08.02 18:00:00 12 H (*)

q script:

CS Client_schedules
DBBACKUP Daily db backup
DBBACKUP_INCR DB backup incremental
Q_EXC query event -1 day

So i cannot list the scripts what are listable on Operation Center.
I think (maybe...) most of the scripts on OC are preconfigured script (maybe the installation process determined them and asked the needed details during the server configuration)

Any idea?

This is the scripts what i can see on OC:

maintenance_script_OC.JPG

These scripts were created during the server installation...cmd means that i started the process with cmd...Automatic means, it was generated during the storagepool creation..

https://www.ibm.com/support/knowled...sm.perf.doc/t_srv_disable_auto_processes.html

I have no idea how it can be suspended, im afraid, there isnt any way to do it, because if i set the value for migprocess, the manually created script wont run.
I have only one chance, creating new scripts what will run and perform what u want...

update stgpool <stgpoolname> reclaim=100
This will stop the automatic reclamation.

update stgpool <stgpoolname> reclaim=100
This will stop the automatic reclamation.

Hi,
Thank you for your asnwer!
If is set it, will the manually added migration and reclamation scripts run?
