mmbackup and tsm

Hi all,

this is a new installation:

from our gpfs server, i can run dsmc and it connects fine without errors.

However, when i run mmbackup it gives and error:

mmbackup: Fileset snapshot snapfs1 will be used for inode-space backup.

ANS1592E Failed to initialize SSL protocol - this appears to be TSM issue but TSM connectivity works fine.

Any ideas?

Hi illllm

I run GPFS mmbackup and Space Manager // HSM to a TSM (SP) Server instance to IBM TS4500 library and it works very good.

well waited for IBM to get back to me for 3 days! As usual, terrible support.
I fixed the issue.

Protect and Scale have different versions of gskits. They were not compatible. I had to upgrade one to them so both had the same version.
