Migrate TSM 6.3 from SLES to CentOS ?

Hi,

I run TSM 6.3 on SLES 11 SPzero (no service pack) on x86_64
and I have to move it to CentOS (don't ask).

A simple DB BACKUP/RESTORE procedure is fine ?
Or should I go with "Migrating Tivoli Storage Manager
from one OS to another" technote and some more
elaborate approach?

The ultimate goal is to upgrade to 7.1.x later on.

Simple DB backup and restore might work in principle since the OS is practically the same and the DB structure should not be different. Just make sure TSM version is the same on both. The best way is to try assuming you have a separate hardware for CentOS.

Otherwise, follow the second option.
