Hey all,

I currently have my TSM db and logs sitting on an R1 lun in storage array A, it is SRDF'd to storage array B in another building.

I need to move my TSM server into the other building and want to make/change my R2 in array B in to make it the R1 now, and have it srdf back to array A to an R2 there (probably the old R1 i am thinking)

what is the easiest way to do this? I could just leave everything alone and plug my fiber into a free port on the switch (our switch ports are not static to a host/target hba, hence i can plug the fiber anywhere in the same fabric if i want), but i do not want the db/log traffic going across sites.

so i believe i need to modify the zone on the switch, remove the FA port on array 1, add the FAport on Array 2 as the new member of the zone.

But what do i do to make the R2 the new permanant R1? I have done failover tests before, but they mimic losing a whole array, and when the test is done, everything goes back to the way it was...

this will be a permanent swap of roles..

any help/suggestions are appreciated

James
