Lifecycle Policies

Hello,

we are using Storage Lifecycle Policies on NetBackup 6.5.3 on Solaris 10. Some days ago I found that some SLP duplication jobs failed with status 50 and from that time they were not restarted.
nbstlutil shows that these jobs are "IN_PROCESS".

I tried to inactive and active these jobs with nbstlutil, but it did not help.

The same problem happened 2 months ago and was solved by restart of NetBackup daemons, but this is not acceptable solution.

Does anybody have similar experience or solution?

the version 6.5.3 has lots of bugs.We were using this version we had faced same issue and other serious issues like duplicated images with innfinite retention has got deleted from DB, which led to a disaster. You need to upgrdate the version to 6.5.5 and reconfigure all SLP's once again. This is what we have done in our envirment.

symantec didnt give any fix...that upgrading the serevr. New version has lots of bugs...they release new versions without proper testing just to compete with other players in storage....

Some weeks ago we upgraded to 6.5.4. Some duplication jobs are always failing with error 50, but they are now correct restarted.
I do not know why they are failing - it is always during heavy backup activity.
