Library Manger has private tapes

Hello,

we would like to decommission a library manager and the logical library. We copied all data from affected TSM Servers to a new logical libray. But when I do a "query libvolume" on the old library manager (TSM20) I still found private tapes that belong to the library manager?

Why has a library manger private tapes?

What happens, if you execute
"delete volhist todate=today type=remote vol=JC0000 force=yes"
"update libvol JAGUARC JC0000 status=scratch"

I found the reason in old log files.
We had a faulty drive an the library manger sets the scratch tape to private when reading of the label fails
