We are deploying TSM in a site where they are retiring an old dds2 tape library in lieu of a single LTO1 drive due to capacity issues. This drive is primarily for archive/drm. There is an online disk pool - IDE drives - sufficient to handle daily backups.
Anyone have any experience managing tapes in a single drive environment and can recommend best practices? (Obviously, this will become a much more manual process)
